A Christian's Perspective | OMG Shoes! (Modesty)

OMG Shoes! (Modesty)

Modesty is a huge problem with women today. One of the things I dislike most about the media and famous women is that most of them dress without modesty. I hate going to the grocery store and seeing women showing their bodies to the world on the magazines at the checkout stand.

Modesty, to me, is one of the most important things in a girl. I love it when a girl dresses modest. I really hate it when I girl dresses like, well like a whore.

Women, do you know that when you dress without modesty you are really being destroyed in the minds of men? Because I can tell you now, you are. Many of my friends are not Christians. They may claim the label of a Christian. But I know the way they act outside of school, and even at school, they aren’t. So many of them say things that are just horrible. I can’t believe they say some of the things they say, but unfortunately, that say them.

If you knew some of the thoughts men think due to your clothing choices, you would quickly change your ways. Some of you probably wouldn’t, but I bet most of you would. I have listened to some of my lady friends tell me how they don’t get the respect from guys that they want.

Check yourselves, please! Because if what you really want is mean to listen to you speak, and actually hear the words coming out of your mouth, then you need to assess the way you dress yourselves.

When dressing yourselves in the morning, do you ask yourself “Am I dressing for man, or for Christ? Am I representing Christ as best I could?”

The most attractive thing I see in a girl is when she dresses with modesty. When I can focus on her words and personality, instead of her breasts.

1 Timothy 2:9-10 says, “Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works.”

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says, “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”
